Designed by John Sandford, the Madinat Makadi Golf course has a maximum length of 6,880 metres with six different tee positions so that all players can adapt to their level. Strategically designed, technically classified as difficult, its first 9 holes are rather flat terrain with ponds and streams without any danger. However, on the back nine, the natural topography of the desert comes into play, which will give more than one experienced player a hard time. Somabay Golf and Country Club The Cascades is not only the first golf course to open on the western coast of the Red Sea, but it is also the first championship golf course to be created in the Middle East, designed by one of the “Big Three”, the Big Three (Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer), namely Gary Player.
