The United States of America is a sovereign constitutional federal republic consisting of fifty states and a federal district. Its capital is Washington D.C. and its most populous city is New York.

Golf is very popular here and there are more than 17,000 golf courses throughout the country. Among the most famous are: Augusta National (Masters), Pebble Beach, Cypress Point and Pine Gap.

Unfortunately, many of the most famous golf courses in the United States are private and can only be played by invitation from members. Famous golf courses often charge incredibly high green fees, but they are often very good value for money.
