The Dunes ( 2010 ) is Greece’s first golf course designed by two-time US Masters champion Bernhard Langer in collaboration with European Golf Design. Set in a varied natural landscape, this Par 71 championship course offers spectacular sea views and has some elements of a links-style golf course in the areas closest to the sea. Parts of the course wind through olive groves and fruit trees, while some holes run alongside a small river – the Sellas – which meanders through the complex. Each of the 18 holes has several sets of tees so that players can choose the length of the course that best suits their game, reaching a maximum length of 6,581 yards. Its undulating, large greens, wide fairways, steep bunkers and links style complements the unique style of a world class golf course in Greece. The Bay ( 2011 ), designed by Robert Trent Jones II, offers both an enjoyable experience and a challenging test for golfers of all levels. With most tees offering sublime sea views and two holes playing along the historic Navarino Bay, this golf course plays slightly shorter than The Dunes golf course, at 5,422 yards from the back tees, and meanders through three distinct natural landscapes. The beach, canyon and grove holes (seaside, canyon and grove) provide striking contrasts that create a dramatic and memorable round. The natural beauty of the bay is highlighted on the 4th hole, a short and strategic par 4 directly in front of the bay with the town of Pylos visible in the background.
