Apulia is a region of Italy, located in the southern peninsular section of the country, bordering the Adriatic Sea to the east, the Ionian Sea to the southeast, and the Strait of Otranto and Gulf of Taranto to the south. It is bordered by the other Italian regions of Molise to the north, Campania to the west, and Basilicata to the southwest. Its capital city is Bari. From a golfing point of view, Apulia is certainly the best developed region in southern Italy. Today there are 5 18-hole courses in the land of trulli. Here golf is not everything, like everywhere else in Italy. In Apulia, for example, the excursion destinations of Alberobello, Lecce, the early-Apulian settlement of Eganzia or the stalactite cave Grotte di Castellana await you. The golf hotels in Apulia are often not far from the sea. After a successful day on the golf course you should therefore enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea and the sunset on the beach.
