Piedmont golf region – enjoyment, nature and first-class golf courses Piedmont is a real insider tip for discerning golfers who are looking for more than just fairways and greens. Nestled between the foothills of the Alps and rolling hills, this region in north-western Italy offers an impressive backdrop for a golf holiday that perfectly combines sport, cuisine and culture. Golf holidays in Piedmont – varied and authentic Those who play golf in Piedmont will experience a successful mix of well-maintained golf courses, authentic Italian lifestyle and breathtaking scenery. The courses are nestled among vineyards, forests and nature parks – and are significantly less crowded than other golf regions in Italy. This makes the region particularly attractive for anyone who wants to be active in a relaxed atmosphere. Top golf courses in Piedmont One of the best-known courses is the Bogogno Golf Club, which boasts two championship courses – Bonora and Conte. Both courses are varied, perfectly maintained and challenging. Also recommended: the traditional Circolo Golf Torino, which regularly hosts international tournaments, and the elegant Golf Club Castelconturbia, a true classic among Italy’s top courses. Smaller, charming courses such as the Golf Club Margara or Golf Colline del Gavi are also worth a visit. Best time to travel and climate The golf season in Piedmont is long – conditions are usually ideal from March to the end of October. In spring and autumn, the climate is pleasantly mild, and in summer it is warm but often refreshing due to the high altitude – perfect for a round in the afternoon and a glass of Barolo in the evening. Enjoyment on and off the course What makes Piedmont so special is the combination of sporting excellence with a genuine culture of enjoyment. The region is world-famous for its wines (Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto), its fine cuisine featuring truffles, pasta, game and cheese – and, last but not least, its charming agriturismi, small wineries and stylish resorts, which are often located right next to the golf courses. Conclusion: Golf holidays in Piedmont – relaxed, stylish, high-quality If you are looking for a golf destination that combines sporting excellence with Italian flair, good food and scenic beauty, Piedmont is the place for you. Whether as a short break or an extended pleasure trip, golf in Piedmont is an experience that will remain in your memory for a long time to come.

Golf Colline del Gavi arises in Tassarolo, between Piedmont and Liguria regions, in the heart of the Gavi hills, where the well-known Gavi white wine is produced and from which it takes its name. Surrounded by nature, between fascinating vineyards and other natural and artistic beauties, it is the ultimate place for whoever wants to fully enjoy their free time. Inaugurated in 1998, the golf course covers 110 hectares of hills, lakes, streams and a rich population of trees. The idea for a project of this magnitude was developed after the positive results experienced by Golf Club Riasco in the early 90s. Over the years, the project has been developed both at social and sporting level, giving rise to major modernization works. Now, thanks to the renovations, the golf club boasts 27 golf holes, divided in three 9 holes courses: Yellow “Lago”, Blue “Castello” and Red “Old Course”. The holes of the championship course require a high technical level and follow a natural development, taking advantage of the gentle ups and downs and the morphology of the land among woods, hills, courses and ponds. Thanks to the projects of the management it has been possible to expand the accommodation capacity of the place, both for golfers and for those who choose this destination to explore or relax in the surrounding countryside. At the end of a golf day, at “La Locanda”, the golf restaurant only 60 meters from the modern clubhouse, you can taste local specialities and seasonal delicacies accompanied by local and Piedmontese wines. Technical Details Course championship : 18 / 9 holes, Par 73 / 62 6380 / 3790 m Architect : Luigi Rota Caremoli Golf Course Designer: Fulvio Bani Topography: vineyards, hills, wooded meadow Special features: suitable for players of all levels. Numerous slopes make it difficult to reach the green. Pro’s comments I really like the Colline del Gavi Golf Club; very warm and friendly atmosphere; all the holes on the course have a strong character and remain engraved in one’s mind perfectly; all the par 5s (1,5,7,13,18) are wonderful, all reachable in two strokes by stronger players, but scoring par is within everyone’s reach: watch out for the greens, many of which have rather steep slopes; never putt if you aren’t clear on what line to follow.
