One of the oldest courses in Portugal, the first course was designed by Mackenzie Ross in 1939 and in 1992, under the direction of Cameron Powel, the second nine-hole circuit was added. The 18-hole Par 72 course measures 6,232 meters from the white tee box and has undulating fairways, well-placed ancient groves and small greens where you will need a good short game to score well. Located in the Azores, specifically on the island of São Miguel, the Batalha Golf Club was designed by Cameron Powell in 1986, offering three courses with a total of 27 holes spread over 120 hectares. Nestled in the foothills of the surrounding hills and with sweeping ocean views, many of its undulating greens are protected by trees, deep and wide bunkers of compact black sand and old stone walls giving a rustic touch to the course. A former European Tour venue in 2008, the Batalha Course is a mix of Links and Woodland course, with a maximum length of 6,435 meters challenging even experienced players.
Facilities: Driving range (for 80 players), chipping area and 2 putting greens, Club House with Bar for Golfers only, Restaurant, Meeting Room for 300 people, Pro-Shop and Lounge.
