Real Novo Sancti Petri

The Real Novo Sancti Petri is one of the most renowned golf courses on the international circuit. Located on the famous Costa de la Luz, tourist focus of the province of Cadiz, partly thanks to the idyllic Playa de la Barrosa, along with its resorts and golf courses nearby. Being the first design in Spain by the legend Seve Ballesteros, the complex consists of two 18-hole courses, the A Mar & Pinos and the B Centro. Its general topography is flat with some undulations where the player will find several water hazards, well-placed bunkers, pines and old olive trees to negotiate. The emblematic Mar y Pinos is a classic 18-hole Par 72 where the front nine offers wide fairways and three lakes. The green on the 6th hole deserves a special mention as it is laid out over the beach. Holes 10-18 are surrounded by pine trees and have no water hazards. The demanding course B, “Centre” is an unusual Par 72 with 6 par 3’s, 6 par 4’s and 6 par 5’s. The first 9 holes are flat with a lake between holes 5, 8 and 9. From holes 10-13, the terrain is undulating and offers unique views of the Atlantic Ocean. As a detail of its designer, the 18th hole bears his signature with an S-shaped bunker. The Real Novo Sanctri Petri offers golfers some of the most complete facilities in Andalusia. It has 150 practice tees (27 covered) with a length of 300 metres, a chipping area with bunker, 4 putting greens and a pitch & putt with three short holes. A restaurant with regional specialities and a delicate Snack-Bar complete the offer.
