The headland Ras Abu Soma is colloquially called “Soma Bay” together with Soma Bay. Soma Bay is in the immediate vicinity of the town of Safaga and about 50 km from Hurghada. On the peninsula there is a self-contained luxury holiday resort of upmarket 5-star standard and a marina. Other resorts can be found along the bay. The tourist offer focuses on diving, golfing, surfing and wellness. Excursions with diving boats to the coral reefs near the beach are very popular due to the high biodiversity. Alternatively, a 420 m long jetty offers the possibility to “walk across the water” directly to the outer edge of the reef, as diving or snorkelling can be done directly at the diving centre there.

17.11.–24.11. — 7 nights, Classic Double Room (Sea Side), FULL BOARD Robinson Soma Bay – golf, sea and sun in one of Egypt’s most beautiful bays If you want to combine golf and sun, sooner or later you’ll end up in Soma Bay. And this is exactly where one of the most relaxed clubs on the Red Sea is located: Robinson Soma Bay. For golfers, it’s a real hit – short distances, top training conditions and a championship course just around the corner. Golfing in a setting that seems almost too perfect The Cascades Golf Course is less than ten minutes away from the club. The course draws you in immediately: lush green Kikuyu grass, wide fairways, striking waves in the desert sand, plus the blue sea that keeps slipping into view on many holes. Especially in the early morning, when the sun rises over the water, it’s a dream. If you want to work on your game a little, the driving range is huge – plenty of space, little stress, perfect conditions. And for those who are not yet allowed to play on the 18-hole championship course or simply want to practise, the accompanying 9-hole Academy Course is ideal. The club itself – sporty, relaxed, right on the beach Robinson Soma Bay feels like a sporty living room: everything is easily accessible, distances are short, and the sea is always in sight. The rooms are modern, pleasantly quiet and have everything you need after a round of golf – good beds, plenty of space, air conditioning and a balcony. You can enjoy the tried-and-tested Robinson all-inclusive concept here. That means great buffets, good quality, plenty of variety and, above all, no headaches about additional costs. After your round, just sit back and enjoy. Perfect for unwinding after 18 holes Whether you prefer to go to the sauna, get a massage at the spa or just want to be by the water, you’ll always find a quiet spot. Soma Bay has crystal-clear water and its own house reef right on the doorstep. If you go snorkelling or diving, you’ll see colours that seem almost unreal. If you’re in the mood for action: kitesurfing, windsurfing, catamaran sailing – everything is possible. And for those travelling with their families, the kids are in good hands at the Roby Club.
