Located in the Azores, specifically on the island of São Miguel, the Batalha Golf Club was designed by Cameron Powell in 1986, offering three courses with a total of 27 holes spread over 120 hectares. Nestled in the foothills of the surrounding hills and with sweeping ocean views, many of its undulating greens are protected by trees, deep and wide bunkers of compact black sand and old stone walls giving a rustic touch to the course. A former European Tour venue in 2008, the Batalha Course is a mix of Links and Woodland course, with a maximum length of 6,435 meters challenging even experienced players. 

Facilities: Driving range (for 80 players), chipping area and 2 putting greens, Club House with Bar for Golfers only, Restaurant, Meeting Room for 300 people, Pro-Shop and Lounge.

A fantastic place

Great place that is not considered the most beautiful place in Portugal (although in the Azores) for nothing. Very friendly staff. The 3 nine-hole courses are very different but in fantastic condition and perfectly maintained. A small drawback is the condition of the golf cards (brakes) and the restaurant is not very inviting - possibly due to the time of year we traveled (February).
