 The “Grande Dame” as the Dom Pedro Old Course Golf Club is known is one of Vilamoura’s premier courses. Designed by Frank Pennick, this 18 hole Par 73 is a jewel of the Portuguese coastline that will test your game to the highest level. On your visit to this course you will find impeccable tees, wonderful fairways, small greens especially on the Par 3 holes and strategically placed obstacles waiting for a bad shot. The front nine requires concentration and a careful choice of shots and clubs. Things don’t get any easier on the back nine as it will require accurate tee shots with long fairways and a collection of well placed bunkers to receive your ball. The Old Course is a high quality “classic” that should be visited on your Portugal golf holiday.

Noblesse oblige

Absolutely top notch! Reception (with buggy), clubhouse, starter (with commemorative plaque), driving range (with free balls), and then the well-maintained, challenging, very hilly course with lots of pine trees. The best of the best, but also comes with a price tag to match. It was great to experience this and I'm motivated to come back again.

Great and beautiful golf course

The golf course is in great condition, even though it rained heavily the week before. The new driving range with Trackman is ideal for anyone who needs a driving range. Golf balls are available and it's great for practicing before the round or just warming up.
