In Florence golf started in 1889, in a club established by the British expats and located North of the town. The current golf club was inaugurated in 1934 and was designed following the gentle slopes of the Chianti Hills. Playing the first three holes, you immediately get the idea: sloping fairways, very small and very well hidden greens, many significant gradients.
