Princes Golf Course

Prince’s owners, the McGuirk family, used the skills of Martin Ebert and his firm Golf Architects to transform and reintegrate Prince’s to put it on an equal footing with its famous neighbour. This is not surprising given that the post World War II reconstruction was the work of J.S.F Morrison and Sir Guy Campbell. Martin Ebert was perhaps fortunate to have had a good basis for this upgrade and improvement, as Guy Campbell was architectural consultant to the pre-war R&A Championships committee. Those familiar with Martin Ebert’s connection through the Open and his current rotation of golf courses will not overlook the connection with the R&A and The Open Championship.
